True Media collaborates with both established and emerging brands throughout North America, fostering stronger connections with their customer base. Guided by data-backed audience insights and propelled by the media proficiency of strategists, planners, buyers, and project managers, True Media brings an authentic human perspective to the realm of media buying.

As True Media started to pursue larger and larger accounts, the down home and humble Midwestern persona it was recognized for no longer sufficed. This was particularly evident within their Canadian branch.

In partnership with a seasoned senior copywriter from Atomicdust, we devised language and visuals that revitalized True Media's brand identity. This transformation highlighted the concept that True Media reveals what’s true to their clients and their client’s audiences.

Finding what’s true.

True Media requested we keep their existing logo; however, updates were made to the color palette and emphasis of words in the logotype. The old logo placed emphasis on the word “media”. This was changed to emphasize the word “True” to better fit the story we crafted. Bold shapes represent the ideas and concepts that drive media: from customer research to creative ideas and from brand identity to traditional and emerging media. Where these concepts intersect, a “window” is formed, revealing a new perspective. This is the space where we find what’s true. This flexible graphic device becomes a powerful opportunity for storytelling.

Uncovering that place where everything comes together.


A collection of interlocking shapes was crafted to breathe life into the graphic device I developed. These shapes possess the potential to embody specific meanings, akin to "collaboration," thereby serving as icons that represent various concepts. The shapes can also be employed in a more textural manner. By magnifying and intersecting the shapes, with a focus on keeping "the window" prominent, captivating layouts are curated, enriching the storytelling experience. Moreover, the incorporation of True Media team images within this "window" conveys a core value of the firm: their team's essential role in uncovering what’s true for their clients. This library holds the potential for expansion at the discretion of the True Media team.

True Media's visual identity employs bold shapes in bright colors to capture the pivotal moment when their clients find what’s true—with True Media's guidance—regarding their brand, business, and customers. The refreshed True Media brand seamlessly merges language and visuals to construct a cohesive story, spotlighting the priceless insights extended to clients while providing the team with a shared mission to rally around.
