1894 Cafe

Services - Environment

1894 Cafe is positioned as a fast-casual cafe for visitors of the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station. The client wanted to draw on the history of St. Louis for design inspiration and settled on two significant years in St. Louis history, 1894, the year Union Station was built, and 1904, the year St. Louis hosted the World’s Fair.

A feast for the eyes.

Working collaboratively with Lawrence Group’s interiors team, I created bright and colorful environmental graphics that helped marry the old world history we used as inspiration for the space with the modern experiential environments 21st century consumers demand.

Getting the word out.

Once the project was near completion, I created a marketing video for the project using footage we shot of the space during construction. Lawrence Group utilized this video on social media to promote awareness of our involvement with the larger Union Station redevelopment project before the Cafe and aquarium opened.
