Opaa! Food Management

Services - Environment

Since 1978, Opaa! Food Management has delivered fresh, tasty, and nutritious food choices at an exceptional value to American K-12 school children. When Opaa! relocated their corporate headquarters to a new building, they wanted a workplace that would enhance their brand and attract new talent to the firm.

After researching the brand’s mission and core values and interviewing key stakeholders, it became clear that healthy food and kids are at the center of everything Opaa! does. It was essential that these core brand themes were translated into the physical space. Additionally, the firm has a fun, laid-back culture and I wanted the environmental graphics to showcase their culture and personality.

Integrating brand and space.

After discussing budget and project goals with Opaa! and Lawrence Group’s interiors team, and before moving into the design phase, I developed a graphics strategy for the space. I evaluated the office’s floorplan to determine key areas where environmental graphics would make the most impact.

Once the strategy was in place, I began creating the visuals. I created graphics that complimented the interior design and told Opaa!’s story in a bold, yet professional, way. Custom cut vinyl graphics, custom distraction film inspired by Opaa!’s brand visuals for the office storefronts, dimensional letters and hand-painted design elements were all incorporated into the space.

Celebrating mission and culture.

By creating an energetic and engaging environment that translates Oppa’s brand into the built environment, their new workplace is a source of pride for the firm that is a true reflection of Opaa’s mission and culture which serves as a recruiting tool and helps retain and inspire existing employees.

Bringing the project to life.

Once the project was completed, I created a short marketing video that was used to promote the work we did for Oppa! via Lawrence Group’s social media channels.
